BCI offers phone coaching to families needing more individual help in implementing the Beyond Consequences model into their homes. We will help you find the solutions to creating a peaceful and loving environment for you and your children, regardless of the intensity of the behaviors you may be experiencing.
BCI recognizes the demands of working and parenting, so we offer flexibility in times to schedule coaching calls. Late evenings and weekends are available, as well as daytime hours. If you are a two parent household, we strongly encourage both parents to be on the phone for the calls. Creating a strong parental base, where both parents are in unison with this parenting model is critical to not only the effectiveness of this service, but to the foundation of the entire family system.
Both Heather T. Forbes, LCSW and Moya Smith, MSW Intern offer phone coaching sessions at an hourly rate and sessions can be broken down into increments of 15 minutes. Payment is made by credit card following each session.
In order to best serve you, Heather and Moya ask that you complete a family evaluation. Having this information from the start will help them to jump into the issues at hand and explore your family dynamics at an even deeper level from the very beginning. Heather and Moya recognize the financial commitment associated with phone coaching and are committed to using this time with you in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Heather T. Forbes, LCSW

Heather T. Forbes, LCSW is co-founder and owner of the Beyond Consequences Institute. Forbes has worked with nationally recognized attachment professionals in the field of trauma and attachment since 1999. She is an internationally published author on the topics of adoptive motherhood, raising children with difficult and severe behaviors, and self-development. She is passionate about supporting families by bridging the gap between academic research and "when the rubber hits the road" parenting. Much of her experience and insight on understanding trauma, disruptive behaviors, and adoption-related issues comes from her direct mothering experience of her two adopted children.
Phone Coaching Rate: $125/hour

Moya Smith, MSW Intern
|
|
|
|
|
Moya Smith is a Beyond Consequences Certified Instructor who studied under Heather T.
Forbes, LCSW, for nine months as an intern for her Masters of Social Work. She has
participated in three Every Day is Mother's Day conferences and has attended several
BCI Live events. Moya previously worked with an international adoption agency doing
post placement visits and co-facilitating a one day pre-adoption course for parents. She
is the mother of four children, including two adopted from China. Her passion for her
work comes from living the Beyond Consequences paradigm and seeing the difference it
can make.
Phone Coaching Rate: $65/hour
